Supportive Employment Placements
LARC’s Vocational Program provides two types of opportunities for individuals interested in joining the workforce.
Individualized Supportive Employment
LARC matches individuals with specific jobs after assessing the individual’s skills and abilities. LARC provides training and ongoing support to the employed individual.
Group Placements
LARC also provides customized workgroups for employers requiring large amounts of manufacturing. Groups can remain on LARC payroll. Permanent supervision is provided for group placements.
Vocational Services are provided in various models from individualized supportive employment placements to supervised work crews:
- Assess skills through community based exploration and situational assessments
- Develop personal profiles i.e. strength, preferences, etc
- Develop jobs for people
- Conduct compatibility analysis and job matches
- Facilitate site accommodations
- Provide employer education
- Provide consumer advocacy
- Provide educational supports on the job
- Provide follow-up services i.e. retraining, replacement, etc
- Long term employment supports

- Retail

- Collating
- Delivery Services
